The Eurocargo 4x4 is designed to thrive in the toughest off-road conditions and incorporates carefully thought-out structural protection systems including a higher chassis, a steel bumper, retractable access steps, a special radiator guard, retractable rear under-run protection bar and standard headlight protection grilles. All these features add to the vehicle's reliability while keeping whole of life costs in check.

COST EFFECTIVE POWER

The Eurocargo 4x4 is powered by the turbocharged and intercooled IVECO Tector F4A E28 5.9 litre, 6 cylinder diesel engine. This engine delivers impressive power and torque from low rpms, ensuring great crawling ability when you need it. 

The Tector engine also keeps your running costs lower, with smart emissions reduction technology that reduces the amount of fuel consumed by the engine.

IVECO Tector engine features include:

• 279 hp and up to 950 Nm from a low 1200 rpm.
• ZF 6-speed manual synchromesh transmission.
• Fitted with Selective Catalytic Reduction technology to meet ADR 80/03 emissions standards.
• Superior torque to displacement ratio.
• Smooth running engine which means fewer gear changes and greater efficiency.

DRIVING SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE

The 6-speed ZF manual transmission is ideally matched to the Tector powerplant and is equipped with servoshift systems to guarantee ease of engagement, even in difficult off-road conditions. The transmission is combined with push-type clutches, with electronically activated power take-offs (max torque 1,000 Nm) available as an option. 

An exhaust brake is standard with all Eurocargo engines and features a butterfly valve in the exhaust manifold. This valve creates exhaust gas back-pressure which slows down the engine revolutions and increases braking power on steep declines, reducing the use of the service brakes and overall brake wear.

The Eurocargo 4x4 utilises a strong, high tensile steel chassis completely flat and free from obstructions, allowing easy fitment of a wide variety of bodies. The highly flexible galvanised steel cab – resistant to knocks, wear and tear, and corrosion – makes the cab of the Eurocargo 4x4 a safe and protected environment for the driver and passengers.

The suspension on the Eurocargo 4x4 is sure footed while still staying agile and responsive. Soaking up the bumps and undulations off-road are multi-leaf springs with dual action hydraulic shock absorbers. The front axle has a load capacity of 5.7 tonnes, with the rear capable of handling a load of 10 tonnes.
